I remember seeing a post, not sure if it was on this forum, or Facebook, but I just noticed, on my 1.5 week old truck that the bottom of the doors/fenders where the stone/gravel-guard blends with the paint, we see the primer through the paint.

Is this normal for a '22 Tundra, obviously, it's more apparent on white, but wondering if anyone else has this issue, see pictures for reference.

Here's a better pic, but after consulting, it may be normal, for a light color truck

That might not be primer showing through paint. That would require some really thin paint, or some deep pitting. You might try hitting the truck with Iron X to remove the rail dust that collects on the trucks during transit.

They usually spray thick down there, which leaves a nice shelf for debris, our 4runner has it

It looks like it got a little dirty is all from that pic. Is that dark smudge actually damage?

Except that is how it was off the truck before I even signed for it. It won’t come clean.

Bummer. Though, before I went for a full repaint, you might hit up the detailer thread and see if they have suggestions that might be able to polish/buff it out.

It really seems like there is black and white paint mixed together.
