Hi. Taking a little consensus from people with the TRD OR package with stock Michelin on 18 rims. My door jamb says 32 front/33 rear. Truck was picked up brand new from dealership with 41 psi on all tires. Seems kinda high but truck drives great and smooth. What do you run your tires at? I was debating on wether to lower them to 36psi or not.

I have the 18" TRD wheels and run what the door sticker says. Some will tell you to set the pressure higher for better fuel mileage which is true in theory but the difference is probably negligible. The higher the pressure the rougher the ride.

I run 3 to 5 psi higher than what’s on the door sticker... I can’t feel a Change in the ride... does it help with fuel mileage?..... meh...

My sticker says the same thing, and the tires look kinda low at that setting. They are Firestone Destination. I bumped them up to 38 cold. Don’t notice any negatives in ride quality.

Just make sure you don’t exceed the max pressure on the sidewall.

Ran my stock tires at 40-44 psi for a good year or so, and that let to me wearing down the middle tread a hell of a lot faster than I should’ve. I had 4-5/32 on the outside tread, and the middle was down to 2/32 when I replaced em. Loved how the truck rode with the higher psi, but if you’re wanting normal tread wear, I’d recommend running at the psi on the door or only slightly higher. Granted I still ran those tires from 67,000 miles to 110,000.

Need to do the chalk test. Can avoid that problem.

I run 44 psi on the stock steel 18” rims and the 255/70/18 tires. No issues and wear is good. At 30-33ish the tires look half flat and it rides more mushy. Especially when hauling stuff.
