Stock skid plate 2019 Tundra TRD Limited

I have a 2019 TUNDRA TRD LIMITED. I went to do my first I'll change and was expecting to find small panel in the skid plate to access the oil filter and it didn't have it. Does anyone know if the 2019 trd limited is supposed to come with the upgraded skid plate with the small oil filter access panel ?

 

It does not. You have 3 options- Remove, cut, or upgrade. Recommend RCI, aluminum or steel options, or TRD Pro plate.

Edit: I bought an RCI and sold my stock one on here, put me down about $200 once I sold mine.

 

Awesome, thanks. The dealer told me they'd put the upgraded if it was stock, but the Toyota dealer here in Buffalo couldn't come to a consensus of which one it came with. Thought about cutting it, but probably will get the trd pro plate

Edit - Won't let me link to their site, interestingly enough. But their price is $375 currently (for the PTR60-34190 skidplate + hardware.) Their shipping was quick, I'm pretty happy.

 

First, Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Toyota dropped the ball big time in making it so inconvenient to change your oil. And if you let them change it they leave clips off or screws loose so you know it inconveniences them as well.

Do you know what model Tundra does come with the the upgraded skid plate with oil filter access door/ panel ? I've got 3 different responses from service, parts and sales people. Sales, and parts both told me the TRD only and service writer told me " hmm ... maybe it's just the TRD pro" ... No one seems to want to commit to a definitive answer :/
The dealer said they'll pay for it IF it was supposed to come with it.

 

Only the TRD pro comes with the TRD pro skid plate with the access hatch. TRD off-road and TRD sport just have the standard plate with no access hole.

I added the TRD pro skid plate to my 2014 SR5..
That was years ago, I think most come with a red TRD logo now.
No regrets...

Paid thousands above retail a year ago for this truck, hoping the dealer will spring for the upgraded plate. Wife and I are on our third vehicle from a well respected dealership in western new York. Damn ignorant of Toyota not to have the access panel for changing the filter out on every model ! Lousy design :/
