Hi all! After looking through the https://www.tundras.com/threads/largest-tire-you-can-run-stock-for-all-generations.9762/ thread I determined I can get 275/70R18s without a lift and it will be pretty maxed out (side note - that size isn't listed on the OP but many commented later that those fit).

I will be the casual 3-4x/yr off-roader, nothing major. I also want to go to SoCal mountains to ski 2 times/yr without having to put chains on in the R2 chain requirement. "Requirement 2 (R2): Chains or traction devices2 are required on all vehicles except four wheel/all wheel drive vehicles with snow-tread tires on all four wheels."

"Snow tread" tires are defined as: "A 'Snow-tread tire' is a tire which has a relatively deep and aggressive tread pattern compared with conventional passenger tread pattern". Snow-tread tires can be identified by examining the sidewall of the tire where the letters MS, M/S, M+S or the words MUD AND SNOW have been stamped into the sidewall."

So, what A/T tire would work? Do all A/T tires have the M/S designation? Like KO2s, Toyo Open Country, etc?

275/70-18s fit great on a stock 3rd gen Tundra. As far as tire choices, there are many and would depend on your wants/likes/budget/treadware warranty. AT tires are going to be M+S rated and depending on the tire and size, may also be 3 peak rated. Popular tires are Nitto, Cooper, BFG, Goodyear, Hankook, Toyo and more. There are lots of choices. Did a quick search and sort for you- Here are 38 that discount tire has in that size and AT tires- https://www.discounttire.com/fitmen...ategory:allTerrainTires&sort=price-asc&page=0

I have had great luck with multiple sets of Hercules Terra Trac A/T2 tires in the past ,good tread life , 60.000 mile tread life rating . work great in the winter up here in canada , not loud on dry roads , currently running a set of E rated 10 ply stock sized LT275/65/18 on my 19' CM . IMO they are a very underrated tire. Also great pricing compared to other bigger brands. definitely recommend trying them out .
