The couple of old threads I've glanced at say the heater is supposed to be installed with heat transfer goop.
The heater came with nothing, and the parts store didn't have any either.
Will it work without the goop, (stick it in dry)?
Can I substitute die-electric grease in place of the heat transfer goop?
Or should I wait until I can get the actual heat transfer shit?
    TIA

It gets to be -30 on a regular basis here during winter. I've never used anything in my engine or fuel.

Just pugged in my block heater over night.
