Just got home from a trip to Sound of Tri state in Dover.

Those guys did the original work for me with replacing the door speakers and tweeters with Hertz speakers. They replaced the factory JBL sub if you want to call it that......with a JL Audio Tundra crew max sub box that has I believe 2 JL 10 inch sub woofers in it. Also have JL amp for the speakers and sub.

As mentioned earlier had issue where at times I'd lose sound for a bit. Today they cut the factory amp out of the circuit but left it in place in case I went back to stock head unit. I had them install the Kenwood CD/DVD player head unit that fits flush with our dash.

After getting back in......truck had an underlying hiss it seems and volume did not have to be raised much to be stupid loud.

They adjusted the gain back a bit and dialed things in for the new set up without the stock amp or stock head unit.

Stereo still sounds amazing with clean crisp highs and a bit of a thump if/when needed.

Kudos to Jamie and the team over at Sound of Tri state. If anyone is local to Eastern shore of MD or DE.........and wanted to hear the set up before deciding on best approach to tweak or improve stock radio.........Hit me up.

2021 Pro!! Nitto’s Tyger blades, Arc audio!
Sounds good. Just curious been following all of these installs and there have been a lot of complaints from tundra owners having a hiss sound with there new system. All of my Toyota Tacoma installs never had any of that with my installer. Just curious if this is something with the tundra that is causing this. I plan to discuss this with my installer and the owner of the audio store when I have them install my new system.
