So these two ads are in my area:
    https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/pts/d/oem-factory-running-boards-for-toyota/7003854586.html
    and
    https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/pts/d/charleroi-westin-hd-black-running/7017576643.html

Pretty obviously from the same seller. He says they'll fit a 'crew cab'. I emailed and asked if he meant crewmax vs. double cab and his response was "it's a crew not a double" and that's it. Looking closely, the running boards have 4 brackets and the step bars only have 3. This leads me to believe that one is off of a crewmax and one is off of a DC.

    Anybody know which is which?

Cant tell for sure...my crewmax has 4 brackets. The two brackets look relatively close together. Worth measuring or checking westin's site to see if you can differentiate from their pictures?

Aftermarket sidesteps usually only come with 3 mounting brackets vs. OEM that have 4. Don’t base your decision on that, my Westin’s only have 3.

Our DC truck had Bully Dogs on it, with 4 mounts and I bought 5" I-Board step boards and they have 3 mounting brackets, they are very solid but I would have liked an additional bracket per side, but that's just me, I tend to like all the support I can get. We got the I-Boards through Amazon for just over $200, my wife and I like them a whole lot better than the Bully's because they have slippery plastic step pads, my wife almost slipped off of them the first time she climbed into the cab, the I-Boards really grip the shoes solidly and she is happy about that.
