About 3 weeks ago I noticed while driving at 65mph + my steering wheel has tight patterned vibration - more like a shimmy. Once the steering wheel starts to shake it will not go away until after I slow down to 50mph or lower.

The truck has 27k miles on it. The steering wheel feels exactly as it did from the dealer. Firm with proper steering responses (not indications of loose parts). There is not enough of a vibration to make me want to pull over. however, it is enough to visually see my hand shimmy.

    note*
    Stock wheels and tires.
The truck has no suspension/lift mods.

Has anyone experienced this? Any thoughts?

Yes. Its the tires wearing. Do a rotate and balance to see if it goes away.

This is my first thought. I just had them rotated approx 2k miles ago.....I'll go ahead and do it and see what happens.

    thank you for the input.

Could need new wheel balance. my truck had UN even wear on the outside of the tires dealer did quick check for alignment and said it was in specs at 5000 miles. went back at 10000 miles and told them to do the wheel alignment and sure enough it was out of alignment the quick alignment test they have is BS
