Hey guys new to the site. So I just installed new lower arms and ball joints so they are as new as my JBA uppers, then had my alignment done as well. Also had my wheels re balanced too. So now when I'm driving my steering wheel has a light shake to it at 40-50 mph and 65-75 mph. Any thoughts on what is causing it?

I’d start with a tire rebalance…mainly because it’s the easiest/cheapest to isolate 1st. I had steering wheel vibration at those same speeds when I first had 35’s put on and realigned; drive fine and rode straight otherwise. Took it back to discount tire, and sure enough 1 of the wheels needed more weight.

Bad tire balance job. Steering wheel shake at a certain speed range has always been a balance issue in my experience.

The tire shop i went to rebalanced my tires and did an alignment after Toyota dealership couldn't figure out why they couldn't get my wheels balanced.

Man, this one comes up almost as much as no-start threads.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/steering-wheel-shake-occasionally-highway-speed.106566/
That's the most recent case of same. Advice in that thread applies to this thread also.

If new tires, suspect the balance is off and this isn't a case of cupping. Possible way to test without taking it in is to swap the fronts to the rears, you'll notice less shake if the unbalanced tire has less weight above it.

But generally speaking, go back to the place you got the tires balanced.

If you rotate the rear tires to the front and the vibration goes away, you'll know it's most likely a balance issue.
