This concerns my 2006 4.7 Sometime ago my truck started having the problem where it didn't start on first try. After reading various forums I tried spraying the MAF sensor and it worked for quite a while. Maybe a year and then the problem started coming back. I thought okay, I'll just buy a new one which was relatively cheap. Nothing changed so I started reading about other fixes. The other problem was starting and immediately dying. I ended up replacing the ignition switch and it cured both problems. A guy has a video on youtube (not real good but good enough) that shows how to replace. Not a hard for job for the average DIY guy. Prices run from about $30. to $80. They all look the same and are probably made in the same place. I bought a Beck-Arnley but there are many manufactures. They are on the O'Reiley website and probably others. Also, right after replacing I noticed how tight and firm the switch feels now compared to before. Hope this helps.
