I have a 2014 Platinum Tundra that has recently started acting up. I've had some issues starting my truck. It's only happened about 3 time in the last 6 months but when I go out to start my truck it seems dead, nothing no juice. I've jiggled the shifter and it seemed to start right up, but only one time has that worked. I've checked the battery but that doesn't seem to be the problem. Twice it start up and then die instantly. It seems to work just fine after it rests for a bit. Any suggestions? No check engine or maintenance light are on.

    Thank you,
    Platinumgirl

I had the same thing with my 17 tundra, did some test, dead battery, its not the voltage that starts your truck, you need to check the cranking amps. It takes 710 to start. Not saying thats what your problem is, just something to look at.

What’s your battery reading? Is it a stick battery?
