When I go to start my truck in the mornings when it's around freezing it doesn't start and the starter sticks when you back off the key. If I pump it it will chug a little and start. The dealer can't figure it out and it's not throwing codes. Getting a little frustrated. Replaced the fuel pump at 50,000 now this. This is my second Tundra and no problems with the first one. This on has 58,000 on it. Any thoughts?

The starter is supposed to stay engaged and attempting to start the truck. Even if you just bump the key to start and let go quickly it will turn the truck on.

OP: is your truck flex fuel?

wife had a gm car that would do stuff like that. The oil in the starter switch behind the key was bad from dealer(sounds crazy I know) They wanted 1k to fix it. I dropped it out and fixed for 60 bucks.

Not flex fuel but the dealer called last night and they are going to reset something to do with the fuel and put a new fuel pump in it. They said the pump was slightly week. Can't believe they had to order a fuel pump. Seems like they don't stock anything. Any other problems arise in the near future, might be going back to G M for my business truck and sticking with my Landcruisers for play.
