I have a 2012 Crewmax 4.6 2wd. I can't get it to start today. A few times there was some repetitive clicking. The clicking also occurred after I disconnected the battery for ten minutes, reconnected it, and try to start it again. Dash lights up and all lights are working. I recently installed AlphaRx headlights. I had an issue the other day leaving the store, but it appeared the battery connection was not tightened enough after the headlight install. The battery is getting 12.12 volts. I did try to jump it off for about 30 minutes with my Taurus; no difference.

Does this mean that it's the starter?

Edit: I just noticed that when the key is in the on position, the AC doesn't run. I'm not sure if that is a sign of something.

3:01PM: I just checked the battery, and it's now at 7.14

12.12v on a standing battery no load it’s not bad
7.14 will not crank that vehicle
AC compressor will not work with engine not running easy test use the battery from your Taurus to start the tundra I know it’s not the right one but that will tell you if you have a bad battery or starter cause you know the battery for the Taurus is good
Once the Tundra starts let it idle for about 15min all accessories off so it can relearn

I just got it tested and the battery is fine. I'm about to re-install it and see if it cranks.

It cranked up right away. There must be something draining the battery. It was 12.53 right before I reinstalled it. I also installed a 9" Android head unit a few days before. Maybe I check the AlphaRx and see if others are having battery issues.

Yeah it sounds like something is pulling a draw. I would look at the radio wiring.

The radio is all plug and play. Right now I have the extra headlight wires disconnected.i used a YouTube video to connect the headlight led. Maybe those guys installed them incorrectly.

With the truck running put a volt meter across the - and + on the battery see if you have at least 13.5V charge going into the battery. If not boost the engine idle up and see if it will increase to 13.5V

p.s post a link to the YouTube video you watched , i want to see what method/pathway they used.

Sometimes its not always the volts, i had 12.7 volts and it didn't start, its the cranking amp you need to start the truck, i tested the battery and i only had 375 cranking amps, for the newer trucks you need 710 cranking amps just to turn the starter to crank it.

The truck has been running fine for the past few days.
I forgot to mention that I also installed HIDs in the AlphaRx headlights. Because I had ordered a H7 HID kit, the ballast connection did not fit in the stock bulb plug. I had a plug lying around that did fit in the ballast which has two prongs that fit into the stock connection. I used this as a temporary fix until I received the correct connection. The night before the battery issue, I went to aim the headlights and the drivers' side was not working. After messing with the connection, I noticed that the ballast had a burnt/melted spot on it, so I removed it.

The following day when the truck would not start, I did remove the AlphaRx DRL wires. Those wires along with the HIDs have been disconnected since then, and I have not had any problems.
This is the video that I used.

Today, I'll reinstall the DRL wires and check the battery throughout the day.
