my 2018 tundra was in forward gear idling and rolling backward on a hill when it let like it hit something ,like a rock and the engine stalled out
It started up and ran good but did that ever happen to someone.

Drive is for driving forward, Reverse is for driving in reverse. Sometimes it'll roll an inch or two on a hill in Drive while you move your foot from the brake to the accelerator, but that's about all. If you want to roll it back without putting it in reverse (if that's what you were trying to do), put it in Neutral instead.

Yeah don't let it do that. Hopefully that was just a once off situation for you. It's similar to when people reverse out of a parking spot and pop it into drive before it comes to a stop.

Yea, have had that happen a lot offroad where you try to hit something and let off the gas to let it roll back and sometimes everything is perfect for it to stall the engine. I wouldn't worry about it, though I wouldn't try to make it happen either.
