SS3 fog light, worked for 15 seconds.

I’ll reach out to Diode Dynamics Monday, but curious in the meantime. Installed their SS3 Pro fog lights today and the driver’s side lasted all of 15 seconds then it went dark on me. I tried swapping the harnesses, nothing. Even plugged the passenger side into the driver’s side and it powered right up.

Anybody else run into a similar issue?

 

How’d this play out for you after reaching out to DD? Was it a fatality light that has been replaced, or a truck issue?

 

They had a new one headed my way that Monday afternoon. In talking to them on the phone I got the impression that while it’s not common, it’s happened before.

New one was installed and has been working just fine. They have a lifetime customer in me, will be ordering some more goodies from them in the near future.

 

Glad they took care of you. Nobody’s perfect! Gonna get a bunk part from time to time.

 

Diode Dynamic are good folks to deal with.
I’ve had the SS3 set in my Tundra for awhile now.
The second they announced a kit for my wife’s Suburban I ordered them.
It was in a Suburban marked box but I got the plastic bezels for a
Silverado. They had me the correct ones in a couple days.

It’s a little silly but am getting ready to order their hitch light kit. Looks like it adds quite a bit of reverse light.

I spent $120 on their two cargo light bulbs and single 3rd brake light bulbs.
The cargo lights are like flipping on the sun in the dark.
