This is round 2 for the replacement of my main wiring harness due to squirrel damage in the last 3 months. Needless to say, I am pissed. Every recommendation I have read seems to get mixed reviews; peppermint oil, flashing lights, high pitch sound, traps etc.
Here is what I plan on doing:
    1. Zip tie hard plastic around the wiring harness, then wrap it with chicken wire.
    2. Fill the area the squirrel has been using with Chicken wire (ball is up) to eliminate the empty space that the squirrel keeps coming back to build its next.
    3. Keep feeding the neighborhood cats in hopes of one of them becoming a 'killer'
    4. Try the options of high pitch sound, peppermint oil etc.

PLEASE let me know if you have found a solution, I will keep the group posted regarding how my plan works out over the next 3-6 months.

Sticky traps. You will have to kill it if it gets trapped.

other is ziptie a rat trap to the loom.

I have used both in my tundra successfully. You can see the sticky trap in this pic.

I use the 5 gallon bucket method around the house and yard. Keep the general population of critters down, and they're less likely to cause damage

Stanley loves squirrels. Dead or alive. Hes up to 18 now, 4 cats and two oppusums. All in his backyard and couldnt outrun him. Never underestimate the speed of a pitty. 4A4907F9-8AF6-42E0-8DAB-80E56F95E57B.jpg
