Sprung a leak.

Actually, it's probably been there all along. My 09 is a few weeks new to me now. Coming back from the city yesterday and listening to that nasty drone I detected something else mixed in with it. A higher pitched whirr. Just now crawling under I notice a lot of oil on the driver side axle housing. Enough I can wipe it with my finger. Seems to be emanating from the little vent thangy. Thinking the whirr I heard may have been a drop in the diff fluid. Will pop the plug tomorrow and check. Is that vent cap hard to come by?

 

Allright. no worries. Local Lordco will have the vent replacement tomorrow. Really don't know what oil is in it or if its a LSD. But would like to replace it.

 

No lsd additive needed. The Tundras use the abs to mimic an lsd

I used 75w90 Mobil 1 if I remember correctly.
