Hey guys, I’ve got shackles and poly bushings coming for my Tundra. Do you think I will be able to push the stock bushings out with an air hammer or should I bite the bullet and rent a ball joint press? The truck only has 300 miles on it so I’m hoping nothing is seized yet. Thanks

I would plan on having the balljoint press in hand when you do the job. You can rent for free from autozone

maybe you get lucky and they slide out easy but not sure. Sounds like everyone struggles with them

    Alot of them
I just did mine over the weekend. I used a balljoint press and an impact wrench. Both slid right out with 94,000 miles on them.

Not sure you have to bite the bullet to rent a press. Drive to your local auto parts store, pick it up, and return it when you're done. In the end it's free.
