Any ideas why my cruise is set to “X” and the actual MPH are 1 mile less on my digital speedometer reading.

I think there’s a 3mph paremeter in there. In other words, if you’re showing 75, it may be 72...something like that (yes, even on a stock vehicle)

On a 2018? Boy that would be fun to defend in court over a speeding ticket.

On all of them. They do it for that purpose; lower speed.

it depends on when you set the cruise set point. sometimes you can get them to match most of the time they are off. just did a 3700 mile trip and about 90% time it was off by 1. once in a while I could get it to match.

its funny seeing cruise set at 85, digital display showing 84 and my garmin showing 83

Mine has the same and the Tacoma digital speed readout was also about 1 mph different from the analog speedometer.
