    2005 Tundra Limited
Hi: I'm new to this site but not to a Tundra, mine is a 2005 Limited that I love to death but it is starting to fall out of favor. There have been a number of reliability issues this past year that leaves me to question how much longer I should keep it. It has 135,000 miles yet the motor / tranny run like ne and it still looks great! I have it rustproofed every year as I live in Quebec, hence winter and road salt.

ABS wheel sensors have been the latest issue and I've also lost my speedometer. I'm led to believe that the speedometer relyies on these sensors and not to one on the transmission output. Can anyone shed some light on where to look?

While I'm here, are the 2024 and pending 2025 Tundra and Tacoma still a worthy and reliable next choice, there has been allot of bad press lately and not sure which direction to go? I don't need the "big truck" anymore and wondering if the Tacoma (which is close to the 2005 size!) is a good long term choice?

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Go check out the 1st Gen forum. They have some EXTREMELY smart people over there who can likely help you.

Regarding new Tundras, only time will tell but I believe Toyota is learning from their mistakes and the '25's will be a lot closer to trouble free.
