    Does the tire calibration in the nav setup really work for correcting the speedometer with larger tires?

    I remember reading it only corrects the nav and not the trucks actual speedometer. I think it was mentioned here a while ago. Try a search to see if anything comes up.

    There is no other way currently. Removing the gauge cluster and installing the calibrator behind it is the only option.

    Nope. Inline device is the only option. Really not hard to do... the hypertech instructions explain it perfectly
