Sparks shipping cost….

What are they smoking? I like the look of the hood mouldings on the TRD Pro so I’m going to add them. Going to mod them by taking off the PRO and adding Sport since that’s the package I have.

…but damn Sparks wants $110 to ship two pieces of plastic and they are $2 more a piece than Toyo parts overstock.

 

Buy from overstock and move on?

I have a hybrid with these on the hood and if there weren't holes under them, I'd take them off. The badge on the Sequoia looks way better.

 

Plenty of companies significantly overcharge shipping costs to increase profits. Bunch of bologna

 

We’ve seen people on here find someone that wants it and swap hoods.

 

I don't hate them enough to go that route, but I'm sure folks do.

OEM is just more expensive all the way around. I ran into the same issue with different parts and shopped the internet for a while for lowest OEM shipping. Found that BoschToyotaSouth had the best rates for my my parts to FL zip 32501 (Pcola). Your specific parts shipped to my zip would be $89.20. The box size is probably what is jacking the shipping price up. Dealerships usually use UPS or FedEx and it’s just stupid what they’re charging for shipping & processing with those carriers. I ordered badge overlays and tailgate letter inserts from Bosch South and shipping was $19 after a shipping discount code I found, but I wanted a OEM warranted part, so I just took my medicine and moved on.

Going to cut the tabs and just foam double sided tape. I’ve seen others do it and looks great. I do like the sequoia ones. Shame they don’t make those for the tundra.

 

I have a feeling their weight is off for shipping.

 

A couple of dealerships wanted $100 to ship the $60 trim piece above the TRD Pro grill. I was perplexed. So I found another dealer with free shipping, as you have done.

 

Doesnt work for us Canadian folk. Most dealers won’t even order in parts without a matching vin to the trim parts

 

Nah I got them from another dealer online free shipping.

 

This is how they make their money back, I used their price and got my local dealer to match, Parts manager said there was no way they could sale parts that cheap and make any money, she said that was the price the dealer pays for the part.

 

I have ordered from Sparks without the VIN for my 23 Limited OR. I had the parts shipped to US/Canadian border and picked them up when I took a trip to the US and stayed more than 48 hours. They did put a hold on my first order with them as they needed to confirm if I was really the credit card holder. You are then allowed to bring in goods up to $800 CDN per person without having to pay any additional duty or taxes. So for my wife and I that's $1600 worth of goods. I will be going again next summer so I need to make my next list up for oil filters, air filters, and a few other goodies. Their shipping was not outragous at the time. I just checked online recently for a $140 US plastic part for my grille and shipping estimate to US border store was $32 but if I combine it with other items the price does not go up drastically. I also noticed they had a 20% discount on shippinng recently on new orders.

 

I tried to order something from sparks and the shipping cost was the same as the items. 2 Rear Bumper Inserts, 1 Tailgate lettering. I am glad that the order didn't go through as they had a problem with the website.

 

I am soooo glad I am done with the add ons. I purchased a ziptie and they charged some ridiculous price to send it to me. This was a couple months ago and I am still pissed, some day when I think about it I will get in touch with them and ask for a credit or something!! As is with most anything prices are just outrageous but they have gone overboard!! I am glad I am taking a break from them for a good long while!

 

I was going to order a grille insert and surround for wife’s truck but $400 they wanted for shipping was a deal breaker

 

I am almost 99.99% sure that I have never bought from Sparks because the discount they give us is made up on shipping. I think I bought 1 time but only because it was like a discount and free shipping. This was obviously back before the plandemic.

 

You need to be aware car parts trafficking outbound SC is more expensive than cocaine. You gotta pay more to cover the costs. Sorry, dudes, nothing personal, just business.

 

I bought my grab handle from them few years ago and don’t recall shipping being bad, but then again they are an hour or so down the road from me

 

That’s strange, I’ve order several item from Sparks, shipping has been a fair price considering distance, type of service size and weight of the items purchased.

Been very please with the shipping speed, service and prompt shipping. Some item were back ordered and got out to me quick.
