    So. Let's talk spark plugs

    Has anyone used the E3 plugs in the 5.7
    Motor
    I have had great results using them in the FJ
    But the Tundra is a different monster

    I believe they are slated for Iridium plugs
    I assume Denso from the factory

    I just put back in OEM Denso's. Don't over complicate them.

    Denso's from a reputable source. Amazon and ebay are wrought with knock off copies.

    I have read here a few ppl using NGK IX Iridium's

    Which would be my 2nd choice over the E3's

    All those side electrodes are actually hiding the spark from the combustion chamber. Iridiums are a far better choice.

    Stick with the OE iridium plugs. I ran E3's in a 4.7L Dodge years ago and had nothing but problems with them. A friend of mine, a 25+ year master GM tech asked me about 6 times what the tag under the hood said for plugs and I gave him the same answer 6 times. He said "that's the plugs that should be in there!" That Dodge was set up from the factory to run cheap Champion plugs and your Tundra is set up to run Denso iridiums.

    There's nothing really magic about a spark plug. Companies like Splitfire want to make it sound like you can gain something if you buy their product but any good brand iridium plugs will do (and last the longest). I used NGK plugs as they were easy to get.

    Iridiums NGK or Denso and change at about 90,000-100,000 miles.
