I am a new owner of an 07 dc tundra. Today I noticed that there are 1” spacers at the strut cap. I researched this extensively for the tacoma and learned that you can get away with about .6” or so of spacer and still avoid strut damage. Much more and the strut can bottom out before the bump stop does and bend the strut.

does anyone know if a 1” spacer will work on the tundra’s without potentially damaging the struts?

Most leveling lift spacer kits are a bit thicker than 1". That's probably what is on it and has been for a long time. Theyre only to be used with stock length struts. But struts will bottom out sooner with spacers like those in place, so extending the bump stops is a good idea.
