I am seriously considering ordering this front bumper in the very near future. It's gotta a clean look without interrupting any airflow to the cooling system. Digging the clean looking light bar location.
Anyone installed it? What was the quality level of the fitment and finish like, clean professional welds? etc.
Please only post up if you installed this bumper etc..I would appreciate the feedback. Pics appreciated. May give them a call this week for more info.
    Thanks.

This looks sharp, but.......I'm looking for protection and toughness, not really concerned with style and airflow, I'm saving for Ranch Hand Summit :benchpress:

I like that bumper! Looks good. Like the low profile too. It's subtle.

I don't have any aftermarket bumpers, but I like this one. Simple and clean just the way I'd want it. Any idea what it cost?

So far no one on here has chimed in on this bumper install. Was hoping to hear from someone that has.
May still give them a call this week.

I agree...I plan on calling them this week with a few questions. If I do a front bumper this will diffenately be it. I want to retain my front bumper sensors and fog lights. I like the whole clean looking keeping it fairly stock concept. Also very this design is functional low profile even with a winch, light bar, and stinger hoop option. I am thinking silver met or mat black powder coating. With winch and bumper it's probably 80-100 lbs additional front end weight...not bad at all. I had the 700# TT Boss 3/1 coils/lift installed to accommodate a little extra weight.

I think it will be a good seller if they can meet the demand and keep top quality in check. Clean strong smooth welds are easy on the eyes. Bad welds "dork up" any good looking product.

Nice product and does not take away from the Tundras lines.

I was talking to a local shop about having them install the Souther Style Offroad Slimline bumper. They do not have any experience with their products and mentioned to me that they are concerned that it might not be a good fit for the Tundra because of how much flex the frame has. Anyone ever hear of this or think this would be a concern?

I have decided to indefinitely postpone/cancel my purchase of a SouthernStyleOffRoad bumper for my Tundra.
For the initial cost involved of the bumper, hoop, light, powder coating, shipping, THEN winch and install, Your in for 2k plus----No I am just not seeing the value.
Aka shark tank ---- I am out.

@Patriot Your decision is based solely on cost and not on any research that found it to be poor quality?

I admit, $1100 for the bumper, $800 for the light, $1600 for the winch plus install is a tough pill to swallow.

Incorrect assumption bigazadventures, my decision in my statement above was based on what I value. I don't see the value for the amount cash laid down which it appears you admit as well in your statement quoted above. I stated nothing about quaility of SSOR. But allow me reread my post just to be sure. Nope nothing stated about quaility. Maybe you need to read my post again slower and louder to your self.:D

So simply stated; I don't see the value for the entire total cost of this bumper. I am out.;)

I have the SDHQ hidden winch bumper. If the Southern Style had been available, I would have gotten it instead. The comment regarding frame flex is meaningless as the winch mount replaces the solid(and inflexible) aluminum bar at the end of the frame horns. I would expect the combined weight of winch and mount is closer to 200lb additional weight IMG_0179.jpgIMG_0178.jpg

I don't believe there is any other winch bumper like this on the market. If you find one, post a link. Several fabrication shops now make something similar to mine. If you're just looking for a general winch bumper, there is dozens to choose from.

There has been little info or feedback available on the Slimline bumper order, purchase, wait time and install. I have not read anywhere on this forum where any member has installed one. And if anyone has, I think we all would be interested in their thoughts on the overall bumper, install fit and finish. As stated earlier, for the overall cost, and lack of any feedback, I am no longer interested in a purchase.

Another option is just give SSOR a call.

I have a a warn winch and am currently waiting for my SSO bumper. As of yesterday it was still in fabrication. I ordered it in November, so that should give you somewhat of an idea of the wait time. On a separate note, there is a thread about the SSO bumper on the recovery page that discusses and includes an install. I should also add that I personally have researched the product and am satisfied with my decision.
