SOS Performance drop kit

    Ported throttle body by 454chuy
    installed the SOS drop kit in rear but it still sits stock height. tips ?

    Did you flip the rear end up inside the leaf spring? All you posted is a picture of the shackle. (That I can see at least)

    The rear end kit flips the rear differential so it’s in between the frame and the leaf spring, with the leaf under it.

    From the factory the leaf spring is on top of the rear end, flipping it drops the truck like 6 inches and the shackle actually lifts is back up an inch or two depending on if you want 4-5 inches of drop in rear.

    I took these photos right after installing mine. You can see the rear end is now in the middle of the gap and the leaf spring is underneath it. The adjustment in the shackle sets the height. The lower you set the leaf in the shackle (more distance between the leaf end and frame) the higher the truck will sit.

    This cleared it all up ! the manual wasn’t clear on placing my leaf springs under my drive shaft and i think that’s all i’m going to need. thanks you

    You should have some extra parts laying around then. The guys at SOS are great but I will agree the instructions were not the best. This was the second time I had done one so I already had an idea of how it worked. If you have any more questions about the install feel free to post them here.
