Have one picked out, or still comparing trims and features?

Still comparing. A Tundra is definitely in my future though.

Here’s a little about me. I’m 60. Current truck is a 2006 F350 with 200k miles. I like to drive ‘em til they drop.

Live on a lake in the boondocks. All roads are non-paved. So non-4WD is not an option. No longer pull a travel trailer. But do pull a 24’ pontoon boat 90 miles 2-3 times per year.

I’m a firm believer in the phrases “Buy once. Cry once.” and “Use it up. Wear it out. Make it do or do without.” With that being said, I’m fairly certain this is likely the last vehicle I’ll buy and I want to get it right.

Was 100% certain that a 2021 Tundra Pro was for me. But the creature comforts of the 1794 and Platinums are staring to look appealing to my old bones — so starting to rethink that.

Have a test drive for a 2021 Pro setup for early next week.

Congrats on y'all FINALLY firing your coach! It cost you a pretty penny though. His recruiting set the next coach up for a quick turnaround.

Thanks! It was a long time coming. Never understood why his contract was so lucrative. A $75M guaranteed buyout is crazy! On to the next one.

So... what comforts are you seeing in the 1794 and Platinums that are appealing to you that are not present in the Pro??

I love the exterior and factory stance of the Pro, but all the classy and comfy interior of the 1794.

The 1794 is cheaper and easier to swap suspension bits than all the interior leather and panels to get the 1794 interior.

The seat cooler function is only in the 1794/Platinum. It quickly cools a hot seat on a hot day, eliminating a back sweat covered shirt.

I think if I go with a 1794, I’ll make significant changes to the audio, lift, and wheels/tires.

This is exactly why I went with a 1794. I see the interior a LOT more than I see the exterior, and I love the 1794 interior. As you state, it is also easier to modify the exterior pieces than it is to replace the upholstery of the interior.

Thank you. Your reply helped me a lot. I think the pendulum just swung toward the 1794.

Like I told my 20 year old son: I’m starting to think a TRD Pro is more of a younger man’s truck.
