Hey all, I have a 2010 Tundra tow package and am looking at putting a pop-uo camper weighing 1,780 lbs. Payload is 1900 but water, gear etc. brings camper weight close to 2,000. I was told that air bags and a sway bar would make that work but wondering if anyone has a similar setup or carried 2,000 lbs and how it handled.

Is 1780 what the yellow sticker in your door jamb says?

No bueno. A camper trailer is the way. Gives you more use of the truck, allows you to park a place holder, you can leave it pretty much ready to go anytime, etc. Then, if you want to just do a night or two with the truck only, check out a soft topper in addition to the trailer. Also for load carrying, Roadmaster active suspension is a great option. Just my .02!
