    Hey guys,

I ended up trading in my Tundra today. Been looking to do that for a while so wife and I can share cars once in a while and also wanted something that fits in the garage as it hails here constantly. I actually ended up getting a highlander Xle which I’m surprised I did but it has a ton of space and is super nice inside. This happens to be the best forum I think I’ve ever been a part of and I’ll continue to lurk to see what’s new in the tundra world. Thank you and keep on enjoying your rides!

I test drove the last gen highlander. That thing had a ton of power. Great sized suv imo

Congrats on the new ride. We bought the wife one a year ago. Honestly, it’s a great little SUV. I don’t mind driving it all.

I was looking at the Highlander to replace my wife's Camry. I traded her 4Runner for my Tundra and didn't hear a peep from her when I did that. When she did finally speak up, she said she wanted a Rav 4 to replace it. I looked at the cost of her build and thought she should look at the 4Runner Limited since that is the direction she was going building the Rav 4 on the web site. The cost difference was about 10K, but I knew she would forever be wishing she had her 4Runner back. So, in the garage sits my 2018 Tundra TRD Sport and her 2019 4Runner Limited. Happy wife......

I want a Highlander to replace my wifes Acura MDX. But man, even the 2014's (first year of this latest gen) are still $20K with 90,000 miles.

Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.

I can really see myself getting back into a Tundra eventually. But probably around 2025 when the new models start to become a good used value :)

I got the Highlander a little over 8k off MSRP (not many dealer add ons) so I'm happy overall and the black leather with brown stitching I really can't stop staring at. Someone mentioned there's a quite of bit of power and it really does have that, that's what steered me to a highlander vs. a pilot (besides pilot being so ugly).

I need to get with @eccracer104 to get some mats for the new ride :fingerscrossed:

Thanks so much for all the well wishes, seriously best forum I can't say that enough.

Congrats! Highlanders are great. When my wife was vehicle shopping last fall, it came down to either a Highlander or and Avalon. They are both great vehicles so either one was a great choice. I preferred the Highlander but it was her call. She's a car person so she picked the Avalon.

Congratulations on the new Highlander! Bummed you had to sacrifice your Tundra for it, but family always comes first! (especially when it's the wife lol).

I think we're at different stages in life ... but, I get it.;)

And yeah, I waste a lot of time on this forum: I call it 80's T-H-E-R-A-P-Y.

[Of course, actual 80's therapy is this: JUST GET OVER IT!]

My wife loves her 2015 highlander, just a great driving vehicle. She’ll be upgrading to the 2020 when they come out.

Only bummer on the 2020’s is the power decrease since the hybrids will be 4 cylinders.

Congrats on the Highlander dude! My wife has one in the garage right next to my Tundra, we bought it brand new in '14, it has roughly 55k on it now and has been absolutely, 100% trouble free. Not a single, solitary issue other than the battery finally going out last month.

Honestly I've never owned a car that went that long with nothing to report, you're going to get a lot of trouble free years out of that car.
