I have the same truck cap, it's solid.

For potential buyers: don't be too afraid of this thing or feel limited to a RTT. I have gouge on how to make it work for you.

 

Probably the best fiberglass cap you can buy. Hate to let it go.

Perfect for a work truck as well. You can hang built in tool boxes from the sides and ceiling.

If you were local to me I'd really be considering it and getting it repainted. These HD models that can handle a RTT are not common on the used market.

 

You are def right. When I was looking before there was one on craigslist and it sold in a few hours.

I would never let it go if it wasn't for the Tundra's payload limitations.

Considering this because it's a great price. Do you know what the weight of the cap is? Could I just mount this as is or would I need like a mounting or stripping kit or anything?

 

I think it’s 175#’s, atleast that’s what it says on the ARE website. You have to remove the side rails and it will mount direct. You will also need some rubber tape for the seal just in case the existing one falls apart. The transfer can easily be done with the existing hardware I have.

 

Not sure I can drive to Vegas next month.

Is there a camper shell that utilizes the crewmaxs rear window going down? As in being able to crawl between the cab and bed for instance?

 

Yes, my Snugtop (Rebel, I think) does. I can crawl from the backseat into the bed of the truck.

Yes still available. Not sure what slider you are talking? The front window is a slide window but doesn’t butt up to the cab.

 

Does the front window tilt down to allow access to the cab when the cabin rear window is rolled down?

 

No the window itself is fixed and has a small square window slide in the middle.
