***SOLD*** FS (Again): 8 inch BA Muffler with resonator (stainless)

Hi everyone. I am reposting my 8 inch BA Muffler system with resonator - originally posted Nov 20. I had a verbal agreement from a friend of a family member that fell through, which is why I stopped the original post. Lesson learned. I have reached out directly to the forum members who had shown interest before creating this post.

Quick summary: Selling the 8 inch BA Muffler catback, resonator, clamps, and adding in the 2 inch hole saw bit needed to tap the tailpipe for the resonator - only used 1x. The system is stainless, has about 4,000 miles and is in very good condition. I'm located in Yardley, Pa. Local sale preferred, but will consider shipping.

@17TundraDCEd what did you do with the 2" hole in your stock exhaust?

It's my understanding that the 8" is more mellow compared to the 6". I haven't heard any BAMuffler in person, would you say the 8" is comparable to the TRD exhaust in sound?

 

I covered the hole with the block off plate that Keith sells. I ordered it with the system in case I went back to stock - like I'm doing now. Had a local exhaust shop weld it, but exhaust clamps work fine too.

I never heard the 6 in person, but have driven TRD trucks. With the resonator, the 8 is comparable to the TRD. The tones are a little different but both sound good. I would say the 8 is generally quieter inside the truck than the TRD and smoother sounding. Under heavy throttle, the 8 is louder than the TRD on the outside.

Without the resonator, the 8 is a beast on the inside. Way more aggressive than the TRD. The resonator does make a big difference.

BlueBottle - this is the best online video/audio representation I've heard of the 8 inch system. I'm sure I could have linked you to it but don't know how.

Hey Thats my truck! ha.. yeah I agree with Ed. The 8" is quieter than the TRD on ligth throttle but sounds meaner/louder than the TRD at WOT. They do sound similar putting around but I too think it sounds a little better than the TRD... this is my opinion from inside the truck. I never really heard the TRD from outside the truck.
