I have a Tyger soft trifold. It held up for six years before some of the stitching started to come loose on the edge. Although it was hanging in there and still looked good, I retired it for a solid trifold. It’s still well bonded to the framework, but the edge stitching especially at the folds had dry rotted. A piece of me thinks it was what I treated it with in the beginning, just 303 aerospace but I almost feel like it may have held out longer if I just left it alone.

I’ve had the Lund Genesis elite on a couple trucks. Easy install & zero leaks.

X2. I have had 2 trifecta covers over the last 9 years on 2 different trucks. It stays tight year after year even with all the snow we get in NH. Excellent cover. Look in some of the parking lots and see what is out there. MADE IN USA!

What about the Gator cover didn’t you like ?

Checking out Amazon - what’s the real difference between the Gator and Tyger covers ?

They basically look the same to me - similar graphics in the ads even. Guessing made by same Chinese builder and just sold under different names.

I just bought the Gator as it was like $14 cheaper - but can always cancel and just get the Tyger if there’s something I’m missing.

Another vote here for the Trifecta 2.0 which has taken the abuse of 3 brutal Vermont winters and still looks great. BTW, I treat mine with Aerospace 303 with great results.

I also use aerospace 303 or tonno tonic which seems to be the same as 303.
The cover holds up extremely well!!

Another vote for the Tyger soft tri-fold..from massive rain storms, car washes, 6” of snow piled on it..this cover has been amazing. Ive had it for 2 plus years.

OP - what Gator did you buy?

looks like there are 2 versions - one is Amazon “exclusive” and the next is the same cover - but beefed up clamps and rubbing (they say).

Being honest - most seem to use same clamp system/hardware - now the canopy might be different material - but the hardware looks very similar.

Could be manufactured by one with a ripped off design - or cheaper materials at one company….but it’s not as if a lot of these are made on different facilities.

Have a suspicion for the price the “made in America” is packaged in America at various warehouses using parts from China. Can’t see anything being sewn here - and not a lot of parts….but they know the “American Made” is a big selling point to truck owners.

So bought a Gator - it’s going back.

Honestly though - it was going back BEFORE it arrived - but just worked out it really needed to go back.

Amazon open box purchase - buy it, next day the Tiger is $45 less open box. I’ll do the tiger then.

Open Gator - clearly used/installed improperly - rail bent to hell, a few bent bolts.

We will see if Tyger is better - or just same junk. Might wind up going Bakflip if I can work it…got thinking about it - since dealer has gotta fix the door - I’m thinking of asking for a “discount” on the BakFlip and maybe a bed step…I think I’m reasonable in saying I’ll pay parts cost plus 10% (my usual deal with body - what most employees pay) and then they install for free. Install on both us simple - and cost is probably 50-60% of retail on accessories….so win-win to me.

I’m not giving a grand for a BakFlip - but $500 I would do it I think. I’ll start asking for free - worst they can say is no.
