I know earlier this year I brought up the subject about attaching a soft topper to the T track of a Retrax tonneau cover. No real answers, wondering if anyone lately has seen or tried this

Not sure on that, but I know UpTop Overland and Xtrusion Overland offer bed racks that can accommodate soft toppers.

    That would require extensive modification.

After my experience, I went with UpTop Overland for this setup. Besides their sale, the service from Xtrusion Overland was not good for me personally, and I after I explained it had taken a week to get anything answered and still had nothing definitive to order, I went another route; and even then, they decided to get defensive and attempt to prove a case that was already solved lol, peace out, GLWTS as they say~ Waiting for my shipping info from UpTop :headbang:

Having owned both, I can tell you that it is possible. That said, I would doubt you would enjoy the process. The easiest way to do it would be drilling holes in the ST's support bar and using slot bolts to pass through those holes. That is, if you can get it to line up. Since I didnt have them both at the same time, I would bet that drilling center on one side would cause the other side to need a custom made adapter.

Now I wish i didnt sell off my ST so I could line these up and show you, but imo, both pieces offer two different worlds of use, and for the money, I would look into different options. If you have a Soft Topper now, look up your closest topper/mod shop and see if they have a retrax to show you. you can see the positioning of both mounts and then determine what it would take and what it if it would be worth it to you.
