SOB Fabrication is officially a vendor!

Hello tundras.com, I am the owner/operator of SOB Fabrication out here in NM. We have been on the forums for a while in a very unofficial capacity but we are finally a vendor.

I'll post up some pictures of some of our bumpers in here, but I'll also make separate threads for our different bumper models in the near future with more information.

Thank you! The bed is something we would like to offer more of in the future. We're working on a few different designs with a hybrid steel frame and aluminum deck to keep the strength up and the weight down.

Thank you! Customer service is a really high priority for me. Not being able to have one on one conversations has been a huge reason it took so long to transition to a website. I have met several people through this business that have become very close personal friends.

I wish he was closer. Really like the flatbed.

 

We make two different versions actually. A standard replacement and a high clearance.

 

The bed might be coming off for version 2 haha. Come get it.

It's definitely not because I have too much time on my hands haha.

 

How long is the bed of that tray back? Is that for a 6' 6" long replacement?

 

It's a 7' tray made to fit the 5.5' bed trucks.

 

Love the look of your bumpers and the high clearance. Have you measured what the new departure angle is on 2Gs with the high clearance bumper? What do most people do with the exhaust routing? Specifically the TRD pro side exhausts.

 

Not pro exhaust - but I cut my tailpipe right where it turns down behind the axle. It’s been great.

 

We haven't measured the angle, but the improvement is pretty drastic.
For the exhaust, the regular exhaust can be cut right after the last hanger and that works great. The same approach can be used for the pro exhaust as well, although I cannot recall where the last hanger is on that version.

 

I just roughly measured - stock is listed at 16 degrees - I came up with 32.5. I’d say double is pretty impressive.

39.5” from tire to rear bumper, 25” of vertical clearance at the lowest point on the bumper.
