So why when I plug in my phone…

does it automatically start Waze? Even after closing out the app, it re-opens and starts running. Truck is a ‘21 TRD Pro Crew Max. Couldn’t find anything in the manuals. Thanks.

 

There are settings in Android Auto to allow auto connect. I would have to look at it but that's most likely why it restarts on you.

 

I believe it auto starts the last app you had open when you turned the vehicle off? Try closing the app first.

 

I guess I should add its an Iphone 14, if that matters.

 

Yup. Tried turning it off multiple times, as soon as I put the phone down, it opens the app again. I’ll try closing the app and immediately shut the truck. Thanks.
I’ll try screwing around in the menu’s as well. Maybe solution in there?

 

I wonder if it's something to do with the Waze app settings. I have a 14 pro and when I connect, it brings up the main menu with apps or if I have the music app stopped but in the background, music will start playing automatically.

 

I just went through the app settings, couldn’t find any “auto start”.

 

I just looked at my carplay settings on my phone and on the waze app. Couldn't find anything either.
