I noticed a big difference between leaving it on and then switching it off, BUT nevertheless under a hard wheel spin I can see the TC lamp blip on very fast with the switch OFF ??
I'm thinking by now somebody has figured out how to go
CAVEMAN 80s and have no TC Nanny's just good ole LSD ???

The trucks have a simulated LSD. It uses the brakes to arrest the spinning wheel.

Up u the forum search, type "beast mode" and you'll find what you're looking for.

    I don't think so.
    1. The window spec sheet clearly says limited slip differential
Even further when I went to see the new Frontiers it's spec sheet said
    sim limited slip differential
    2. I had it 14 years there was nothing simulated about it. Ive had GTs and a Z28 I know how a LSD acts the Tacoma was 100% LSD I almost got it stuck a few times on muddy roads I could open the door and see the driver wheel spinning with the passenger side.
    3. My coworkers V8 Ram has a Sim LSD in the rain it acts different in that it chooses a tire to spin rather than both.
4.I can't say with 100% certainty since I've had it only a month but I know some Tundras are LSD or lockers.
Is there a page here where I can decipher my Tundras VIN to see if I have a shitty sim or a real LSD lol ??

A few... Definitely more than 2
1st gen 99-06 had an option of a real mechanical LSD,
2nd/2.5gen 07-21 have no option of a real mechanical LSD and instead have simulated LSD with the rear brakes
3rd gen 22+ now comes with an optional e-locker otherwise probably still has simulated LSD

There are aftermarket LSD and Lockers that you can install if you choose that path

2nd gen Tundras don't have factory lockers.

As for the Taco, I was assuming a newer one. Older ones may have had LSDs, and 2WD may have been different than the 4x4, same for tge 4 banger.

Your Tundra doesn't have and LSD. Hit your traction control button. Dash will say "auto LSD" right? Newer ones do, at least. Auto LSD is Toyota code for simulated. It's well documented across the forum.

Of this I became very suspicious when I saw a one wheel peel. Good Heavens it has the "trailer package" option 4:33 rear and all that's a tough one to accept.
I except this crap from Dodge or Chevy but The Tundras are not the cheapest in cost when new.
Oh well today it's the diff tomorrow it will be something more significant. $$$$
It hardly gets icy in the Hou area but when it does you don't Wana be stuck on a upward incline with a one wheel drive Ram right in front of you...ask me how I know.

Houston is flat. Won’t matter if you’re locked front and rear in 4wd if it’s ice anyway.

"Upward incline" as in a hwy overpass on the way to take the kid to her scheduled surgery. By Hou I also ment we can't drive for shit on ice.
    Hurricane tornadoes flood ✅
ICE: FAIL BIG TIME we just don't know of this phenomenon lol.
Also while the traffic came to a stop because....you guessed it upward traction on sand... the guy in the giant crew cab Ram was spinning one wheel and coming rite at us at a 45° angle nothing he or us could do.
Ultimately he softly made contact with the center divider. I was astounded that a 45k$ truck would cheap out on a LSD but then quickly came to my senses and thought sure why not, robbery by a thousand cuts.
