    Sh*t happens.

Easy for me to say but it could be worse.

My ex wife did that once. Buffed off the yellow streaks, pulled the dents, good to go!

Good excuse for color matched door handles and a good detail with a buff. Then call the dent wizard and better than new.

Oh yeah been there done that. I hit a concrete one in a Tacoma at the gas station. Ran the whole side of my truck against it. Had the music up and couldn’t hear it. I was pissed.

Luckily a lady I work with, her husband owns a body shop. He's going to look at it Tuesday.

I am afraid, though, that there is a fold in the metal requiring a lot of extra work

The dent repair guys can do some crazy stuff now. Buff it out consulting with @SouthBoundSteve, then get paintless dent repair guy. Shouldn’t be more than $300.

Could be way worse. When I was 18, I hit one in a Taco Bell drive thru so hard I tipped over in the drive thru lane, effectively shutting them down till the tow truck could drag me out and tip me back over. They refused to serve me afterwards because their lobby was closed and it was against their policy to serve people walking up to the drive thru window. I had to take several breathalyzer tests that night because the officers could not believe someone sober rolled their truck in a drive thru.

Try using some dish soap to remove the wax and compound it. Or use mr magics eraser that helps too. If it's in there deep (lol) then it'll have to be painted again

It’s a super shitty feeling OP - only beat yourself up for a day or two. Everyone does it, just not everyone talks about it LOL.

4,500 lb Kubota vs my old Lexus IS350 - backed into it grading the yard (was dusty, and turned around to avoid dust). 7ft box blade, crunched it. GD I was pissed at myself for months. First time in my life of driving (21 years) that I had to turn in an auto insurance claim.

No, sorry! Didn’t mean to mislead on PDR lol. I quoted because you mentioned Lexus.
    This was insurance/paint.

I have used PDR before, with very good results. But my Lexus was F’d beyond PDR.

Thanks for the clarification. I was shocked if that was done by PDR.

Yep - no way PDR on that one. I was pretty upset with myself. My first accident in life, was me on my tractor running into myself. My wife thought it was pretty funny.

OP might be able to get away with PDR if the paint isn’t scratched badly. My guess would be on a brand new rig, he’d want it done right and turn it into insurance. Probably sleep better in a few months vs. dumping $500 into PDR and polish/buff to not have it come out perfect.
