Did this yesterday morning before a 120 mile trip and has worked very well to remedy my console lid rattle. I’ve owned this truck for three years but have put very few miles on it because I drive other vehicles predominantly. Have tried several things to quiet the constant rattle in the console lid with no success. Had just some cheap black stick on felt sheets I got at a hobby store. I cut rectangular sections, one for each side and applied to cover the areas shown to essentially wedge the front of the lid and release mechanisms snug to the console.
In 120 miles of driving didn’t notice the lid rattling once. This rattling has bugged the crap out me ever since I bought this truck new three years ago. Hopefully I can check this off my list as resolved…upload_2025-5-19_9-14-7.jpg

Do you have pics of the felt sheets and where you placed them? Between the two bump out sections?
