So I've noticed within a 100mile radius I barely find any sport model tundras. I hate chrome personally. I know you can switch out bumper parts but how easy is that especially if you have the sonar and stuff? I originally wanted a limited or maybe platinum but for me I'd think I'd enjoy the sport model better. I find a lot of sports in double cab but barely any in crewmax configuration.

    Rough Country Level,
I just purchased my Sport, and I had to find it at another dealer and have mine go get it. They are pretty hard to find in Maryland

Same thing here in NC. Just not many Sports on the market. I got a Platinum, swapped out the mirror caps and door handles, no more chrome...

Checked inventory at large dealer in DFW and it is low. I think the problem is the fact that the plant has been shut down. At this point I would wait until the new models come out and try to pick up a 2020 at reduced price. Problem is by the time the plant reaches capacity they will be close to producing new models.

I was able to find 1 within 250 miles of me and only a couple within 500 miles. I was searching for a specific color though so my search was filtered a bit. I assumed it was because it wasnt a popular color or something, but sounds like they are pretty scarce all around.

I've found a few at a dealership I refuse to go to. They had red, black, white and blue. I want the Calvary blue one.

Good luck. I tried to order one last year and after two months learned the dealer was leading me on. Traveled 350 miles or so to get exactly what I wanted . Cavalry blue double cab TRD Sport. Don't settle. Get what you want.

Yeah I'm flip flopping. I wanted blue then when on the lot I saw the black and the red sports and liked them too. Within 100 miles radius there is 3 blue crewcab sports with the tech package. I dealt with my local crappy dealer for 2 weeks working on a deal. Finally got it where I wanted. The sales guy kept pushing me all day he told me 3 times I was approved and could take the truck that day. Then last minute he says the bank called that there was a descrepency on my credit report and now I wasn't approved. My credit is shot but they wouldn't tell me what the descrepency was. Today another dealership called the same bank and the bank told them there are no descrepencies and that they would finance me again. Ugh pissed me off so bad. Idk if I'll get the same deal somewhere else. But the dealership I'm dealing with now says they can get me the truck I want.

Sorry you are experiencing that. I knew exactly what I wanted and never wavered. The dealer here lied to me and never ordered the truck. Kept stringing me along. I even had a deposit down on the first day. Got that back and went elsewhere. Like you I probably spent more especially with an overnight trip but I have zero regrets.

Sports are less popular. The dealerships here mostly carry trd off roads. Sports are less and even more less are the sport premiums that have added leather and blindspot.

I never manged to find one with leather but the one I'm looking at has the blind spot. Is there a reason why the sports are less popular?
