Living in the land of 200+ inches of snow per year, I have always put snow tires on dedicated wheels. For the new Tundra, I have acquired a set of bottom-feeder SR5 18" wheels locally. So, I go to find snow tires and the local tire shops say that all they can get right now are LT snows, which are 10 ply. The need isn't pressing right now, as I have 2 other vehicles with snows already fitted. Does anybody have experience with the 10-plys?

i have 10ply winter tires, the ride suck when it gets extra cold but otherwise they are fine. Would not buy them again.

Have always ran studded 10 or 12 ply snow's- I used to tow a big trailer all winter long. Ride was no worse than normal E rated tires

Yep....I run Blizzak LT (10 ply) tires in the winter on the Tundra. Rides fine, no issues.

No need for E rated. I run Blizzak DMV-2s on my Tundra and like them a lot. Check tire rack, the UP is pretty backwards when it comes to that kind of stuff, no one seems to have any idea what good snows are.

I have checked TR, discount tire, who have a local outlet and local and regional shops. I would love to have the DMV2 but no one has them in the right size.

I would just buy whatever size is close enough. I run 255/70R18 Blazzaks on my GX when the factory tire was a 265/60R18
