I'm in no hurry since I have the 2.3 & it would be too late for the Monday tune. I can pay now & wait especially if someone has a time crunch.

You were the main person I was thinking about! I figured I missed the window. I'll have 2.3 pulleys though, so when you feel like you can swap the pulley you have and not need to adjust anything, and then when you want to bump the power will be able to.

Well you'll get two different ones and they're 4" circles so you might need a backup location too :D

Wednesday night probably, I just need to inspect a few dimensions once I receive them. I'll post on here, and there's a handful of people (you included) that are more or less in line so I'll reach out to them directly to notify them too.

    It's like Xmas in March.

    :D

Do you think the 2 would need a new tune from the 2.3 I'll be tuned with? I'd like to get both.

I would think so. Going the other way I know is fine without retuning, but adding more boost I think you'd need it. Mainly for timing changes.

I'll also do a pulley trade in setup, so if you want to start with the 2.3 and 2.2 and see how the tune handles 2.2, and then swap to 2.1 if it does well, etc. We can do that as well. As long as the pulley is in good shape I'll swap out sizes with people. And for Phoenix elevation I would think a 2.1 or 2.2 would be a better bet. That would be a smaller change from the 2.3, and your injectors would be fine. I think the 2.0 at your elevation will require larger injectors and would be pushing a lot of power and getting into the unsafe zone. Food for thought, but I'll send you whatever you want!

Here's a graph I threw together a few days ago. These are very theoretical crank horsepower numbers, and the rule of thumb is usually 600-650 is safe. All depends on how you use it and how reliable you want it too.

Ok, then sign me up for the 2.2 & 2.1. Seems even the 2.1 is close to dangerous.

I'm going to be running the same. The 2.2 will be installed and I probably won't ever use the 2.1, but I want to have it on hand just in case I decide to push it a little more later on.

Pulleys are here and inspected (one of the hubs had too large of a center bore so only have 9 usable) and ready to buy! Please go to www.snivspeedshop.com, and let me know if anything should be done better.

For now just posting on the forum, once the people on here that have been following along have gotten in line then I'll advertise a bit elsewhere. Not planning on selling a lot, and have a very limited inventory because of that, so keep that in mind. The combo deal should update with sizes being in stock, I don't think this derpy website is capable of cross referencing the individual pulleys, so I'll manually do that. But if you can't select a 2.2" pulley on the combo, and can on the individual pulley, it's actually sold out.

As of right now these are the available sizes and quantities:
    3x 2.0"
    2x 2.1"
    0x 2.2" (Sold Out)
    4x 2.3"

I'll start shipping stuff once I get stickers in, which should be Friday. Thanks for the support and if you have any suggestions please let me know!

@M3Tundra-JK and @HulkSmurf14 you guys don't need to do anything, I already have your pulleys set aside (1x 2.0" and 2x 2.2").

@e30cabrio @AZTundra @Fastlane47 @Downytide @BigAl @reywcms @Speedkills119 you guys all showed interest at one time or another, so pinging you.

I wish i hadn't gone down side quests, otherwise this could've happen months earlier. Plus side is I now have 5 months of testing on this idea with no issues so far.

Real question is when are you getting a blower? :D

Wife saw an article the other day on CAT theft stuff (a bit late to the party) she asked why 'they' don't make some kinda protection to prevent that. I told her they do, and it's only about $8,500 :D

Nothing informative in this post, but if you want to hear my struggles enjoy this novel.

    --------

What a headache this has been! Though I have been having fun. First of all, the stickers that I paid the "priority shipping" charge to get them Friday didn't ship until Friday and should be here Monday. So I have not shipped anything out and will be waiting on those.

Now onto the issues. The biggest issue is some of the hubs have an oversized bore. This is a flat out no-go since the hub is a press fit. So if the hub bore is 0.6630" or larger it cannot be installed. I ordered 10 hubs, received 11 and was told one was oversized, but turned out that 3 of the 11 were oversized so won't work. Additionally there are a couple that are on the edge of tolerance, and I'm debating if I should should send them out. Long story here: the supercharger shaft is exactly 0.6630", and the two pulleys I own (stock and a URD) both appear to be 0.6620". My drawing specifies 0.6620" +-.0005", which is pretty fucking tight. I even bought a nice pair of calipers to double check my nice pair of calipers because the tolerancing is sub 1-thousandth which is hard to measure with normal measuring tools. I have two hubs that were pretty dead nuts close to 0.6220", but the majority are on the high side of the tolerance, which should still be fine but I wanted a minimum press fit of .0005". Though it's hard to determine how much press fit is needed, since I don't know how much friction the hub and the shaft have and I don't know how much torque the supercharger needs (though I've heard of LSA superchargers spinning the pulley on the shaft and want to avoid that obviously). Point being, I have a couple pulleys that are outside of tolerance but might be fine, and about half of what I actually ordered that meet my drawing.

At this point I've had a handful of people on the forum order stuff, so I haven't had to make the choice of sending out a hub that is a smidge on the larger side. My plan to fix this is to drop the hub bore on my next order by about .001" so the press fit will be more aggressive, but worst case I could try to open it up, where as if it's too large there's no fix. This is all extremely hard though because this is the limit of calipers to measure, and obviously the limit for the machine these were made on. I don't plan to advertise the pulleys on Facebook or anywhere until I get another batch of tighter hubs.

As for the pulleys, some of those have issues. The shear tabs seem to have some interference on some pulleys and fit fine on others. The fitment is extremely tight, it slides on by hand but you have to be extremely straight to do it which I don't like. The pulleys on my truck seems to be a couple thousandths looser so they're a lot easier to install. Some pulleys I couldnt get to slide onto their hub at all, but with a little elbow grease and minor filing I was able to get the pulley to slide on and there's no noticeable difference. Unfortunately two of the pulleys were such a tight fit I had to put them on my mill and machine them to get them to install, and since I was manually running the mill and eye balling the fix I did not get a remotely good finish. The two people who these pulleys were going to I've emailed, and will either swap them out for a new pulley when I get a new batch or will refund them a portion. Once again, the drawing calls out a tolerance and for whatever reason the pulleys did not meet that tolerance. My plan for the next batch is to loosen the fitment of everything to make installation easier and avoid them being too tight ever.

It's extremely frustrating since the CAD files and drawings are literally identical to the ones on my truck, but the machine shop is different. Flip side is my pulleys cost $900 and these I can sell for $200 a pop. Annoying that I have to throw out so much hardware just to dial in the process, but at least enough of stuff is fine that everyone who's bought stuff so far will get a product that's correct.

Solid work unfortunate about the machining but you’ll get it sorted! If you need me to test a looser pulley etc lemme know happy to help in anyway.

Updated the CAD and drawings and sent them for quote from the machine shop. I opened up the fitment of the shear tabs and also downsized the hub bore. I'm thinking of ordering another 10x of the 2.2s and 4x of the 2.1s since those are by far the most popular.

Ordered placed! I increased the radius on the shear tab since the machinist wasn't a fan of how small it was (needed an 1/8" end mill, now he can use a 1/4"). Because of that, the new hubs will not be backwards compatible with the previous pulleys I ordered without some modification (ie filing or milling that radius on the pulley to open it up). So because of that the hubs will now be engraved, and I'll stick with that into the future so I can know which modification that pulley uses. Additionally because of this, I went ahead and ordered the following quantities:

    3x 2.0"
    6x 2.1"
    8x 2.2"
    3x 2.3"
    12x Hubs

    upload_2023-3-26_13-43-22.jpg

To be clear, there is no issues with the current pulleys and hubs and any future pulleys WILL work with the current hubs I'll be mailing out. Just anyone that has a pulley currently and sells it to someone with a future (RevC+) hub, that person will need a little hand labor to make the shear tab fit. Everything else is the same, and this was purely for machining optimization.
