So my oldest boys Tacoma got skunked! Any ideas on how to get rid of the smell?
It went inside of the engine bay, took a dump and sprayed all over by the brake fluid reservoir and fender well. Man you want to talk about stinking..

Defishing soap works well to remove the skunk smell. Try that mixed with some automotive soap. Unfortunately my dog has been bombed 12 times so I'm familiar with some of the better methods of removing the smell

Perhaps get Skunk Out from a pet store and soak the engine bay. We keep it on hand for the dog and works well.

Funny, I was just talking about this with a friend the other day. He has a dog that's been skunked 3 times. He said tomato juice is a myth. It's an oil based spray, so stuff like Dawn works and other degreasers.

Well that really stinks! I think you should just trade it in on a new Taco and let the dealer deal with the skunk smell......See that was easy peasy.

Back when I was less mature... and an asshole... we collected up a dead roadkill skunk in a trash bag, and put it under my buddies driver seat on a hot summer night. That smell never came out lol... I believe he eneded up having to trade it in during the "Cash for Clunkers" program or something like that.

    Sorry no help.
