My factory skid plate is trashed. I've been working on suspension and various other upgrades. I figure it's time to do something about the skid plate too.

TRD Pro skid plate versus aftermarket. Which aftermarket skid plates are the favorites and why?

I have Talons Garage engine skid. I also have the Valhalla cat plates forward and rear. I cant recommend the Valhalla due to customer service. But the Talons garage I would support. They are a part of this forum and the customer service is amazing.

    Alot of them
A lot of us run the RCI skids. I have the engine skid and the rest of my plates are cat protection plates. RCI is having a 20% off sale but go through @memario1214 as he can get you a better price.

    Too many, but not enough....
I have rci skid plate and like it. Has access door and a small cutout for easy oil draining and u can get to front diff. It also works perfectly with my ironman front bumper and cat sheild plates. Price and quality good too.

I have RCI engine, transmission and CAT guards on the truck for at least three years. They've been amazing. I have the powder-coated aluminum and it's held up well. Only negative. When you need to change the transmission or front dif. fluids. It's gotta come off. So I would sync that maint. up.

Full Talons Garage kit here. I like that it's modular so it can come off in pieces for maintenance needs.

+ 1 for the RCI Skid Plate. The access door makes oil changes a breeze, along with my Valvomax drain plug.

Thanks! Wish I could take the credit for building them myself but my bro is the one that made em for me after I sent him the YT video that I found after doing a bit of research.

I have rci engine and transmission skid plates and the cat guards. Powder coated steel. They’ve been great. Some rust happening now but that is expected - been on the truck for three plus years. Only issue is they’re HEAVY and you have to remove them to do the fluids
