Signed the papers...

I made the required appt, drove an hr. to be 1st to test drive a newly arrived Platinum!...

...except salesmen were all "busy." They just tossed me the keys for a solo. I removed some of the packing tape then should've just kept driving, lol, but I came back, negotiated, and waited in line 4 hrs. to tell the finance guy... thanks but no $4k+ extended warranty.

Truck's not in my driveway yet, but I stopped back here to say thanks. I stumbled across this forum 2 days ago, read the extended warranty advice, and knew to decline.

With all the electronics, etc., I am interested but will visit the EW pages for info on a better source.

I used to own Toyotas. Last truck was stolen from a city street. When the dealer wanted $200 to look in his computer for my color of choice, I defected to another brand then stayed for 20 yrs.

But now, after 2 mos. of researching and chasing various vanishing vehicles, I'm a Toyota owner again, excited to have captured my new Windchill Pearl Platinum. Looking forward to learning more about it from this great forum. Again, thanks!

Congrats. It is a great vehicle. Check around on here about the warranty. You should be able to get a Toyota warranty for a couple of hundred bucks above cost.
