image.jpg Just had our shower tiled and now we are looking for a door but unsure on what kind. Complications I see are the bench is flush with the rest of the tile and there is no raised lip for mounting, this might not be a issue but everything I see online looks different than my setup if someone could lead me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Looks like you might need to have a window above the bench and then a swing out door in the opening. A custom glass shop should be able to fab up a window for you.

I agree with the above post, although it depends on how much the commode interferes with opening the door. Even if you have to go to some sort of bypass door system, you’ll likely still need a fixed glass panel at the end of the bench.

I would consider mounting a permanent glass piece above the bench and mating it with a slider. It doesn’t look like there will be near enough room for a swing out unless the picture is deceiving.

Yeah, I assume that the picture is a little deceiving. If not it's looking like an awful narrow slider and I don't think they get that narrow unless custom fabbed. If push comes to shove, moving the toilet might be something to consider.

thinking about this more, it’s kind of strange to have a full width bench. Typically they are not full width so there is ample room to clean / for water drainage between the track for a slider or swing out.

You may need to off set the glass so that it is a couple of inches on the bench and have a swing out / slider meet it there. And I have almost always seen lips on similar style showers.

    Something like this:
