E00614BC-DEB4-4EB1-A664-2CD6B3A6F840.jpg Just a quick thanks to all the delivery personnel out there, working those long days and nights. This should be an interesting peak season to say the least. Being in the delivery business people don’t understand how much the little things mean to us. Anybody else put out snacks or treats for all the delivery people out there? I added some hand sanitizer and pens this year. Maybe this post might make someone try this as well and make someone’s day! Post up your pictures or ideas you have to say thanks to all those hard workers out there!

Problem is, if everyone starts putting out Coke, chips, and candy, all the delivery people will gain weight. As they gain weight, they'll also get slower walking from truck to house and back, thus reducing delivery efficiency. This could be catastrophic during the holidays! Better add some carrot sticks and celery to the offering.

I've not left things for delivery drivers. Our neighbors used to, until their Ring started showing the same 3 drivers stopping by multiple times every day and totally depleting the stash. Like everything, a few ruin it for everyone.

I do make sure to have an assortment of Gatorade and water chilled and available if I have people delivering furniture/appliances or doing work on the house. It can get hot around here, and they always appreciate it.

Well I’m sad to report that I just tried this today, knowing that we were getting a couple pieces of furniture and some random packages delivered. I told the furniture guys about the basket and to “help themselves” to a drink and snack... came out later and they took everything but the basket :(

That's how our drivers would be too

They constantly park on the wrong side, block traffic, in firetruck zones, have seen them hit my garbage cans and deny it, bring no one home delivery slips even when I'm home.

There are good ones and bad ones. Unfortunately, the few spoil it for the many.

As above, when we have large delivery item guys, workers in our house, we have made them cookies or brownies, offered drinks and even offer up supper to the contactors when we have them in the house and we are making a meal or getting takeout.

It’s always a handful of people that ruin it for the rest of us
