I would enjoy having paddle shifters. Two of our cars have them and are fun to use. I think this Tundra has the power to make the paddle shifters useful. Is it a silly idea for a truck?

Unless you have a DCT paddle shifters are just a gimmick. I have them on my Raptor and RSQ8 and have never used them on either. My father in laws 992 GT3 R Cup on the other hand...

I like them. Just a quick poke and you can hold a gear through a merge, you can drop a gear or two approaching a red light, hold a gear when going up a hill or whatever when you don't want the surge of adding throttle. Liked them on my last two vehicles

Paddle shifters? I'd be happen to have a display telling what gear it's in with bonus if convertor is locked.

    What’s wrong with stock?
God NO. We don’t need more gimmicks like piped in exhaust sounds.

Paddle shifters with 10 speeds sounds like a lot of poorly selected gears. Best to let the computer sort it. Wife’s Jeep GC has them. Used them once when we got it. Haven’t felt the need since.

Yes, it is. It’s a truck. You want paddle shifter, get a car.

I do wish we had a gear display though. My 2018 F150 had it and it was useful, especially when traveling in the mountains or towing.

Console shifter is as far away from a truck I want to go.

That's gonna be a no from me, dawg.

Not needed. The existing shifter works just fine for dropping a gear or two when towing up a steep grade.

No…unless you are a professional driver, you are not likely to shift better than the finely tuned Toyota.

Gee my dude, I forgot about all the technological advancements they had back then, that we don’t today. My tundra does just fine without my help. Back then, we all drove standards on the regular. Now days you are lucky to find a handful of the youngsters that can.
