Sup fellas I’ve been debating on whether or not to keep modifying my truck or just not put any more money into it and just get a newer model tundra like a gen 3. Nothing is wrong with my truck rite now but I keep wanting a new truck but there’s seriously nothing wrong with my truck I have now. It’s a 2007 SR5 V8 Tundra but it’s not a 4x4.

The itch for wanting something new is a struggle. If you want a new truck, get it and you'll probably be happy you did. ?

I would get a new one with 4x4. Your current truck looks great.

Your truck looks good! If you need a 4x4, then get a new truck. I've been wanting to get a new truck also but I decided to wait till maybe next year. To satisfy my itch for now...I'm getting new wheels for mine to change up the look.

Depends on what you can get for trade. Availability and price are two fairly big obstacles at this point in time. I have a gen 3. I really like it and am glad I bought it. However, if I had what you have, and don't need the 4WD, I would be waiting only because its just so difficult to get one right now and you'll most likely be paying a premium. I was coming from a different vehicle than a Tundra.

selling now you will get top dollar. But you will also be paying high for something else. It all depends on if you need 4wd. If so, then yes I would look around for a newer 2.5 gen. Considering the prices and some of the potential issues of the 2022, I would hold off purchase of a 2022 until some of the issues are worked out.

If you dont need 4wd, keep what you have and enjoy the $ savings.

Thanks for all the great suggestions and opinions guys. You all make great points which will help me decide what I really need. For now I think I’ll stick with my truck since the 4x4 isn’t something that I really need at the moment. I’ll probably just do a couple mods soon just to calm my itch if wanting a new truck! Cheers fellas

This is the wise decision. Upgrading any vehicle that is still meeting all of your needs is literally throwing money away. In a few more years, the 3rd gens will likely have most of the kinks worked out and the prices will likely have returned to normal.
