I bought SSC Super Z8 cables for 295/70-18 tires (I'm running Yokohama G003, Mud Terrains in that size) and those were about 1/and 1/2 inches short trying to getting them connected. Do you think if I ordered the cables for a tire size up (305/70-18) that would work or any thoughts? If I got regular snow chains, should I size up? Mud terrains aren't the best for driving in snow and CA requires you carry chains in chain control areas.
