Also posted this in the recall thread, my truck was manufactured after the listed February 2023 affected dates, but had the short block, fuel lines, etc. rebuild done for its previous recall. Had the recall completed before purchase and helped get the price down, just wondering why it a) was involved and b) seemingly wasn’t part of the engine swap. Some of my mechanic buddies have said they might’ve taken that short block out to inspect and compare it with earlier produced/affected ones. CarFax for it is clean with the recall notes, but nothing to cause concern. Will be posting about it through the year, as I can’t really find anyone else with the short block completed. Bought it CPO so it’s under their CPO warranties after the recall was closed out.
    Edit: discussed in another thread!
